Cholera... a very well known disease that plagued the world.. for centuries.. and made... the word Sanitation actual thing. You may think its kind of something that is dead... but Cholera is still out there....
London... 3:40 am 
A girl gets terribly ill with stomach pains and diarrhea... what could be the cause? A few hours later... she dies... 
This strange disease has killed many.. but how? Why? How did this all start or happen? You also may think that it would only take place somewhere where there isn't much sanitary.. you are correct.. but what you might not know.. is that London is very unsanitary... Let's get into details...
A boy named John Snow was one who would never dreamed of fighting something in the world beyond... 
Years later he loved school and when he turned 14 he went off to another school. Then later he went to collage and then got all of the degrees in collage and then... something back then which was so RADICAL was... he went to surgeon school... Now that was RAD!! Day after day passed as more sick people came from everywhere with severe vomiting and diarrhea... Back then people believed that what caused sickness was "Bad air."  Now  days who ever would believe in that would... severely get laughed at... or made fun of because well we have proof that "Bad air" doesn't cause that... 
John Snow had a theory against that thought of everything bad was caused by "Bad air" He said "That if that were the case, wouldn't patients pain first start in their throat and lungs?" Very smart thought there I do say so myself! But people were stubborn and were like "Go read some books nerd, you don't know anything" 
But John Snow... was onto something... More and more people got sick and he started to believe that it was because the diarrhea spreading from person to person would cause it... 
(Wait wait wait... now that was probably problem solved right there, right? That was basically the problem! But wait... it gets worse) .
He started to spread this theory about that.. but people just shook their heads in disbelief! He worked harder and harder and then tracked it down to water... But he needed more proof for the word of "SCIENCE!" because people would merely shrug him off and not care. So anyways! He soon many ages later he finally made a theory that made science and that changed the world! There was a pump that was contaminated with Cholera... and so far... anybody that drank from it... died. He decided to remove the handle and see what happened... immediately deaths and numbers that got it dropped! (MIKE DROP!) Bam! Like that! Problem is OVER!! But... not quite yet..... they put the handle back on and people immediately started to die and get sick with Cholera... leaving a pale blue off of the person they just devoured. Yeah... but that's basically it to that story.  Because what happened is is they fixed everything with pipe so that their water system wouldn't fail and cause another outbreak... and if that pipe breaks.. there will probably be... another one...

Symptoms: 

  1. Watery diarrhea (sometimes in large volumes)
  2. Rice-water stools (see figure 1)
  3. Fishy odor to stools
  4. Vomiting
  5. Rapid heart rate
  6. Loss of skin elasticity (washer woman hands sign; see figure 2)
  7. Dry mucous membranes (dry mouth)
  8. Low blood pressure

So yeah... its super important to wash your hands after you go to the bathroom.
