Ethelred the Unready and Edmund Ironside. Our Island Story. By: H.E Marshal. Narrated by me.
Edward the Elder was a wise and good king and his sister named Ethelfleda was also very good and wise. She led the soldiers out to battle. Soon the Danish attacked again. They didn't really keep their promises. And she led them out to battle as usual. After Edward died and his sister died also he gave his son the throne. His name was Athelstane was also a very wise and good king. After he died the young kings began. Some of them were wise and also very good and others were not so good and should have not been the king. The last of the young kings was named Ethelred. He was a horrible leader and they called him Ethelred the Unready. There was agony everywhere because of his choices his people fell. They argued with one another. And the Danish came and attacked them again and he came up with a stupid plan. He decided that he would pay the Danish a large amount so that they would go away. They loved the idea and left with money. Soon they spent all the money and came back for more lik...
